1. Racers are allowed to access their vehicles/campsite at
headquarters during the race.

Teams must carry their own gear, except for boating equipment and bike
equipment.
- Water will be available at each transition point to
refill water bottles and hydration bladders.
- Teams can keep gear/food with
their bike (location to be announced on race morning).
- Teams cannot stash any gear or leave anything behind on
the course, including trash! Teams must start and finish
each course
section with all required equipment.
- Keep your bike gear as close to your bike as possible at
the staging area. We are not responsible for misplacement.
3. - Teams cannot receive support from
anyone along the racecourse, except for medical personnel.
- Teams can help each other if they wish to do so.
4. - All 4 team members must complete each
section before team can proceed to the next section.
- Passport will be carried by the
Team Captain and will be stamped at each transition point.
- All 4 team members must cross
finish line together.
5. Compass is required; GPS’s are not
allowed. Though not mandatory, teams
may want to purchase topo maps of the area.
Purchase through USGS, Rolla. An
orienteering course map will be provided on race day.
6. - Racers must wear a
bike helmet on the bike course and it must be buckled when racer is on the
bike. Helmet must be designed for biking – i.e. no rock climbing or
kayaking helmets. Tandem bikes are not
allowed.
7. - Teams must have life vests in their
boats and ON AND FASTENED while crossing the river.

Racers must wear their race numbers on the front of their body,
so it is visible.

Teams must stay on the racecourse as marked – Respect
private property.
10. - If one or more members of a team
cannot continue, remaining members can continue as a partial team.
- Team Captain MUST notify a Race Official at the
nearest transition point if the team or a member must drop out.
- Remaining team members may continue racing, but won’t
qualify as official finishers.
- A SAG vehicle will take you back to headquarters if
necessary.
11. - Racers can seek medical assistance
without disqualification and may continue the race unless advised by
paramedics to discontinue.
- Paramedics have the final decision in allowing a racer to
continue the race after seeking medical assistance.
- Race Officials can hold a racer for paramedic clearance
before continuing the race.
12. - No littering or violating proper
outdoor ethics - by accident or ignorance.
- Restroom facilities/port-a-potties
are located at headquarters and at most transition points.
13. - No drugs, alcohol or pets on the
racecourse.

An official “finish” is when all four teammates finish the race together with
their passport fully stamped. Any
other
finish will fall into the “DQ” or DNF” or “PTF”
(partial team finish) categories
15. - Good sportsmanship and spirit of
competition must be followed at all times during the race.
16. - Race Director reserves the right to
disqualify a team for any reason.
Be flexible, have a great attitude and
prepare for an adventure!!
