Work Days on Frisco Highline Mountain Bike Trail

Saturdays, As weather and timing allows (9am-1pm)
Help build the new 10-mile mountain bike portion of the Frisco Highline Trail, from Willard to Walnut Grove! Meet at Junction Cafe/Bullseye gas station parking lot on north end of Willard, at intersection of Highway 160 and FR 123. If possible, bring: water, gatorade, snacks, work gloves, chain saws, heavy rakes, loppers, pruners, machetes, shovels. Contact Chris McNeese at A & B Cycle, 866-1999. Riding the trail helps it develop too!

Bike to Work Week 2013*

May 13-17
Join Ozark Greenways in our fun annual challenge to get to work or school without your car at least one day during national Bike to Work Week! Whether by biking, walking, taking the bus, carpooling, telecommuting or a combination, many people try this challenge and find it not only enjoyable, but also a smart choice for many reasons.

Registered participants get a Panera Bread voucher for a free coffee and bagel or cookie... yum! And we have vouchers to give out to those who want to travel with their bike on the bus for free all that week. Find out if your workplace or school has already registered their show of support.

Visit our Drive Less page for the full scoop on how to participate. We're looking forward to hearing about everybody's experiences that week. We had over 1,500 people participate last year - it's always fun and a great way to enjoy May as Bike Month and show your support for an even more bike-friendly Springfield.

* School participation - This year's event falls on the last week of school for many, so if you're with a school, feel free to participate the week prior! We're glad to have so many kids who love to participate by biking or walking to school.

Please share our Bike to Work Week 2013 flyer if you can.
